In modern homes, people seek comfort through both sound and light, but many products rely too heavily on a single function. There is a need for a multi-functional product that promotes destressing through both soundscapes and ambient lighting—remaining useful even when one function is not in use.

Ideation & Sketches
Curved forms are inherently inviting and enhance user interaction. Research shows that people tend to favor soft, rounded shapes over harsh, angular edges. With this in mind, integrated smooth curves into the design.

3D Prototyping
3D printed the design in two components - i) speaker and light, and ii) charging base. They both look hefty because the idea was to evoke a sense of comfort and safety through the appearance.
3D Model & Render
For the initial iteration, focused on creating a soft, rounded form to convey a sense of calm and continuity. The design intent was for the light and speaker device to appear snugly nested within the base. The form was inspired by planetary forms.

Packaging
The packaging embodies the 'kalmness' through its minimal design and understated color palette. It hints at the products purpose without revealing too much of what's inside. The graphic on the top of the box references the products orthographic top view.
